SUPPORT OUR CHALLENGE TO RAISE GUIDE DOGS

MJ and Josh, along with Zeppelin and Valkyrie, are taking part in the PAWGUST challenge to raise funds for Blind Low Vision NZ’s guide dogs.

It costs around $175,000 to breed, raise and train just ONE Guide Dog throughout its working life. And with thousands of dogs being trained each year, every dollar counts. We need your help so that together, we can create a world where everyone who needs a Guide Dog, has a Guide Dog.

Please make a donation to support the challenge today. Every bit counts.

We'll be updating here, but you can also follow along at  https://pawgust.joshandmj.com/

My Updates

Over halfway!

We are now officially over halfway both on the calendar and in terms of kilometres walked, which is a very nice place to be with a four-day holiday in the Hawke's Bay coming up and cutting into our PAWGUST time! We took a beautiful walk along part of the new Ōtākaro Avon Corridor today, driving down to Dallington Landing to start and then walking all the way into town and back. We've done some of this stretch before but not all of it, and there were lots of dogs taking advantage of the sun after a miserable Saturday. We did very briefly get caught in a shower on the way home but it wasn't too bad and we did manage to outwalk it without it chasing us. (Almost) 20% Complete

We're just a smidge under a fifth of the way there after today's Bottle Lake Forest adventure, with 11.98km clocked in. Not bad for only three actual walks! The weather is looking a bit suspicious tomorrow, so we'll have to see what that brings. Don't forget you can see a map of exactly where we've been at  https://pawgust.joshandmj.com/
