SUPPORT MY CHALLENGE TO RAISE FUNDS FOR BLIND LOW VISION NZ GUIDE DOGS

I'm taking part in the PAWGUST challenge to raise funds for Blind Low Vision NZ’s guide dogs.

Rain, hail or shine, this August I will be walking or running every single day!

Did you know it costs in excess of $100,000 to breed, raise and train just ONE Guide Dog?! And with thousands of dogs being trained each year, every dollar counts. I need your help so that together, we can create a world where everyone who needs a Guide Dog, has a Guide Dog.

Please make a donation to support my challenge today. Every bit counts.

My Updates

Women in Business Run UOA

A wee 5km jog with some UOA Women in Business members at Mission Bay Auckland with a 1.5km warm up and 1.5km warm down (walk). Good to finally do something other than netball or walking. Wish Layla was here too though.

Unwell

Hi everyone,

After my first effort at netball, I came down with a nasty cold and have been unwell for many days now. I am finally almost recovered and will do some more netball this coming Saturday. I have found a way to strap my watch to my ankle, so let's see how that goes this weekend!
Just means I will have to go for longer distances each day now chasing that 125km goal!
Have a great weekend :))

Saturday Netball

Hi everyone,

Today I played for my University team and the team above in netball. Unfortunately we can’t wear our watches to track steps and kms, but my friend managed on their ankle. So I’ve done approx 8,000 steps a game, equivalent to 16,000 for both. This equals to around 11km of effort.
With caution I am taking some steps/km’s off as I don’t want to be saying I am doing more than I actually did.
It was a great first day of Pawgust even though Layla couldn’t attend as she lacks the skills for this sport! 🐾

Lots of sniffs!
