SUPPORT MY CHALLENGE TO RAISE FUNDS FOR BLIND LOW VISION NZ GUIDE DOGS

I've gone barking mad and I'm taking part in the PAWGUST challenge to raise funds for Blind Low Vision NZ’s guide dogs.

Rain, hail or shine, this August I will be walking every single day!

Did you know it costs in excess of $100,000 to breed, raise and train just ONE Guide Dog?! And with thousands of dogs being trained each year, every dollar counts. I need your help so that together, we can create a world where everyone who needs a Guide Dog, has a Guide Dog.

Please make a donation to support my challenge today. Every bit counts.

20260819 Main street w our possible new addition

Our journey for August has hit a slight roadblock with the addition of this young girl. We've been home-based letting her decompress over the past few days. Today we went on a street walk to see how they went. Wonderful! Whereas I was only choosing to submit the walks that we don't usually do, I'll be submitting any that we do from now on as they will have Yana in tow.

20260817 a BIG day for our family!

Hudson, eldest son and I logged most of today's steps whilst waiting for what we hope to be our newest family member to arrive 🤗 Our steps may be a little more challenging to get in as we slowly integrate this gorgeous yellow girl into our pack 💛 Decompression at home for the next few days so we might not be updating for a wee while. Day 1 has gone perfectly today 🤗 We're all so very excited! 🖤💛

No Huddy walks by me this weekend

I was away for the weekend so no walks logged... although my wonderful eldest son took him out for an hour walk on Saturday 🤗

Clevedon loop w Aunty & Stella 🐎

Hudson was super chilled around Stella. He hasn't been up close with horses for a while so wasn't sure what he'd be like. An awesome walk w my wonderful sister and her gorgeous palamino 💕

Hudson's bandana arrived!

No special kms to log today (just one of our usual walks in the town Centre and also a side trip to Mitre 10), but I had to post this pic... Hudson's bandana arrived in the letterbox yesterday so we wore it to training tonight. This was after our session when I could whip the camera out. Here next to a yellow lab owned by someone else... but...

No kms walked off of the property! Was resting up for the day after doing so well at scentwork the afternoon prior! Mum stoked that we qualified on our first ever SSANZ event. What's more is that 2 of the 4 judges (4 elements) chose us for their Judge's Choice Award. Mum's super proud of our report cards!

20260810 Botanic Gardens

Awesome morning walk. Managed to walk 5.91km with loop da loops to get the extra kms in! Busy with many people getting in their morning exercise but not so many dogs. Hudson was super with a big group of extremely excitable young school children passing. Ka Rawe Hudson!

20260806 Maungakiekie

Our journey wasn't marked correctly on AllTrails app today. I estimate it to be 6.5km... not the 36.32km stated 😝 Started at the Grand Drive entrance (near Campbell Rd) and circumnavigated the Park and also went to the summit. Sadly the wind has stolen most of the cherry blossoms, but the magnolia were beautiful and the calves were gorgeous. Stunning day!

A beautiful afternoon to enjoy the flowering magnolia and camellias
