PAWGUST 2026

SUPPORT MY CHALLENGE TO RAISE GUIDE DOGS

I’ll be honest, I’m not an active person. Most days you’ll find me sitting in front of a computer, tapping away at a keyboard rather than pounding the pavement.

But this August, that’s all changing. I’ve committed to 31 days of walking for PAWGUST to help raise funds for Guide Dogs. This is a big challenge for me, and my legs are already filing complaints. But it’s for an incredible cause: raising funds for Guide Dogs. It costs over $50,000 to raise and train just one Guide Dog.

If you’re able to support me, whether with a donation or a cheer, it will mean the world. Together, we will contribute towards a future where everyone who needs a Guide Dog has one.

Thank you for backing me as I trade my keyboard for kilometres. Every bit counts.

My Updates

Forest @bus stop

Forest is wondering if we could take a bus home... Not happening! Lol... Let's keep walking!

Sunset walk

It's just as beautiful when the sun is setting.

Sunday morning - drizzling

Drizzling today. Meteorologically, it's precipitation made up of liquid water droplets smaller than 0.5 mm in diameter. It falls much slower and is far less heavy than a standard rain shower. Forest and I learn something new every day. 😉

Early morning walk

It was raining last evening so I've decided to make up with an early morning walk the next day.

Building a habit

Expected today to be a busy day, decided to clock in another attempt using treadmill instead.

Start of our trial walk

We attempted a trial walk today.

We attempted a trial walk today and clocked 1.62 km! Forest clearly decided I wasn't getting enough of a workout, so he thoughtfully gave me a present. I hadn't planned on carrying the extra weight of a bag of dog poo, but it was motivating (and smelly) enough to get us home much faster than expected.
