SUPPORT MY CHALLENGE TO RAISE GUIDE DOGS
I've voluntarily signed myself up to walk or run 100km during August for PAWGUST, raising money for Blind Low Vision NZ's Guide Dogs programme.
When schedules allow, I'll be dragging Cooper along with me. Between the two of us we'll be out there every day, rain, shine, or Wellington sideways rain...
I've also recruited the work crew into a team effort, which feels fitting given we spend our days helping people look after their vision. While we can't prescribe Guide Dogs, we can help support the incredible work that makes them possible.
It costs over $100,000 to breed, raise, and train a single Guide Dog. These dogs provide independence, confidence, and freedom for people who are blind or have low vision, and every donation helps make that possible.
If you'd like to support the cause (or simply encourage me to keep moving through a Wellington winter), I'd really appreciate it. Every contribution, big or small, helps support the amazing work Blind Low Vision NZ does.
Thanks for your support from me and the team (and Cooper, who will be accepting payment in pats and treats).
